The TeamAll the expertise and knowledge accumulated over the years must not be lost. That’s why Guy Moerenhout decided to establish his own rally team in 1975: Guy Moerenhout Racing (GMR). This allowed Guy to put his theories and expertise into practice and pass on his knowledge to his students. Over the years, the team has grown to more than 30 members, including individuals from across Europe. |
The RalliesThe Guy Moerenhout Racing team has been active worldwide, participating in rallies in countries such as Belgium, Spain, France, England, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, Africa, and more. Some of the most notable rallies we have taken part in include:

A glimpse from the Guy Moerenhout Racing archiveCourse de CôteDuring the many times the GMR team participated in the Course de Côte, they not only competed in rallies but also took part in demos and hill and mountain climbs. For the GMR team, these rallies are not just about driving; discovering and appreciating local specialties, such as food and drink, is a crucial part of the full rally experience. That’s why they often bring their own cooking team. |

Targa FlorioFor five days, the GMR team drove across the entire island of Sicily during the regularity rally Targa Florio. Guy Moerenhout himself received invitations to this exclusive rally in Italy twice: the first time in 1995 with a Simca Abarth 1300 and the second time in 2017 with two cars (a Fiat Abarth Record Monza, driven by Guy Moerenhout and Eric Van Bourgonie, and a Fiat Abarth 124, driven by Eric Vlaisloir and Erik Vanderveken). |
